After a spate of tyre slashing we had a dealer call today to fit a CCTV camera?
The picture is absolutely terrible. The front gate is 3 yrds from the camera and even when someone comes to the door you can not tell who they are. The car is parked just outside the gate but basically can't be seen. Plus, as we have the camera inside the house the ring of LED lights reflects off the glass and blots out
most of the picture, so i would imagine that when its totally dark outside we really won't be able to see anything because of the glare.
Can anyone suggest a really decent camera that won't make everything look as though we're looking through the wrong end of binoculars like the one out the back does and one thats clear and goes further than 3 yards?
Need help. Just can't afford to keep replacing these tyres and would LOVE to catch the culprit. Plus, for £360 i expect better.
Well, I'd give them the camera back first of all, and get your money back.
You can get night-vision, clear CCTV cameras for a lot cheaper than £360 anyway.

If you don't like any of those, its probably best to look around in other electrical shops, and although not all of them have night-vision, you could install a security light outside (depending on if that was an option).
Also, if you look around in-store, some of them have cameras already set up, so you can see the quality before buying.
